Meet Nymph

Here are some pics of one of my 6 new bettas. The others will be along eventually.

This is Nymph.

She came right out of the shipping box with vertical breeding stripes. What a slut!

Well, I didn't want to call her Slut, so we decided on Nymph.

She is a lovely turquoise color with a little bit of a comb to her tail. The camera makes her look very green. She is much more blue in real life, but without the flash the pics all come out blurry.

Hahahah!! I totally died when you said she was a slut. Guess it was meant for her to breed... so get on finding her a male! At least that's what she's saying!

I have been researching breeding techniques and getting ready for a few years now. And after our recent move I have met a local lady that breeds bettas. She has been able to clear up some questions I have and shown me the ropes. I decided to finally take the plunge, so I bought some delta tails and crowntails from aquabid to start. I guess Nymph is volunteering to go first.

I am going to be trying for blue butterflies. They are my favorite. Both nymph and the male she came with (brother) carry bf in their genes. He even shows a very slight white ring to his fins.
