Meet my new pineapple super delta!

So I went to the LFS, and saw they had a shipment of super deltas in, most were usual, there was one nice steel butterfly one, but his span wasn't too big, granted he looked very young, but otherwise none were all that striking, but there was this one.. a pineapple super delta, such an awesome boy, even tho he's missing a little chunk of his tail... I didn't get him... as they are kind of pricey 16.99... but I kept thinking of him, and how rare it is to find one of this color in a LFS.. so I went back today and got him! woohoo! so here are some pictures, not the best, but.. it's best I could manage, my webcam and camera didn't aprove of taking pictures in his round tank.

any name suggestions? (I was actualy tossing around sponge bob, cuz yknow.. pineapple?)

I thought you were naming him Spongebob!! Or at least Bob! Cause he does LIVE in a pineapple. Isn't that close enough?

beautiful fish, i would love to have a quality fish, so if anybody is trying to get rid of one i might buy...just PM me or email me....but yeah beautiful he is...spong bob sounds cool

Well, I'm looking at aquabid pics, and I'm thinking he looks more like a mustard gas than a pineapple? anyone have any opinions on that?

From the pics it's hard to tell, but I don't think he looks mustard gas like.

I definitely wouldn't call him mustard gas by any stretch, but he does look like a pineapple or (it's hard to tell from the pics) if his body is more of a solid brown rather than a pattern of brown on the scales, a cholocate

ya, musturd gas wouldn't be a good name, cause then his nick names would either be musturd or gas or gassy, which i don't personally woudln't wanna name my betta.

I don't think they meant call him mustard gas...they thought he looked like a mustard gas betta....which is a color of betta.

I think he is a mustard gas as well..just from the pics. Probably a chocolate mustard gas imo...which is a chocolate with yellow accents.

This is a purple mustard gas

But the fish this thread is about looks to be a chocolate color (can range from a very light to very dark brown) where the one pictured above is purple.

Still very pretty regardless. Any betta with yellow is pretty in my book.
