Maxsmom
Fish Crazy
Went "tank" shopping on Tuesday as I'm moving Max from his 1.77 gallon tank to a 5 gallon on the weekend. I was out gathering all the goodies to start it up.
Walmart suprisingly had some nice bettas - and they were in fairly clean cups (surprise - someone must have complained)... they had a few crowntails (one even looked like Max) and several females. One female caught my eye though... she was very "friendly"... coming up to the wall of the cup - not afraid of my finger... she almost seemed to be saying, "get me outa here!".
I had a couple of appt's so I couldn't get her right away. But when I went back after I was done - she was still there! So I bought her!
She's in Max's original 1/2 gallon tank - which is loads of room for her - she's a tiny little thing - about 1/3 Max's size. But she's eating and seems to enjoy her roomier home from the tiny cup she was in. Once Max goes into his 5 gallon home on the weekend, I'll eventually put her in his 1.77 gallon tank.
Here she is... Princess Ruby:
