I have a 55 gallon planted fresh water aquarium and I once saw in a fish store a worm. It was about a foot long and was sort of a purpleish color. The pet store called it a Medusa Worm. I've tried to find one, but all I seen to see are salt water feather dusters worms. So I was wondering if anybody can help me find the correct or scientfic name of thid eluvise worm

They're marine too.

A member of the sea cucumber family.

Are you sure the worm you saw was fresh water?

The only worm I have ever seen offered for sale for freshwater is the caecilian, which is actually an amphibian.caecilianscheck here

edit: pictures on cover page are not like the ones I have seen in shops, click under their photos and movies section for more common varieties

Fishdude........I put my money on that being what it was

Edit> I just looked at some more of those photos and they are actually a pretty cool fish :hyper:
