i really think that we are being fed a load of crap, when someone that my bf works with goes on about her "medley betta"....a special breed that changes colors like a chamilion. i did a google search on this "special" betta....and found not even a page to give me answers to this.

so before i officially throw what seems like a load of crap out of my thoughts, i want to ask if any of you have also heard of this color changing betta. since i have NEVER read about it anywhere online, and i have never heard anyone on here mention such a betta....and surely, if there was such a thing, it would be popular and on demand, wouldn't it?

sounds like BS to me.....but i'm just double checkin with you experts here.....

keep in mind that the person talking about this is the person that sold me "cichlids" which we found out are green sunfish....she also said that betta's can go with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING....no if's, and's or buts! this person is just seems to be so full of it..... :sly:

:(

Sounds like the medley of colors her betta is showing, is death. Does she say he gets amazingly paler and paler each day? 8)

i don't know anything about her fish.....i personally think she's lying about the whole thing. cuz she isn't really saying that they're getting pale...she's talking about actual color changes, which i will not believe till i see it. she probably believes in them staying in the vases too! i feel sorry for the costumers....when she says something, she doesn't hesitate....she makes it sound like she really knows her stuff....so a person that doesn't know about fish, would believe her.

well yes there are bettas that change colors, mostly all of them while they are growing to adult, but specifically marbles throughtout there entire life. so maybe that is what she has.

maybe her betta is metallic and changes color in the light. other than that explanation, its a bunch of poo.

Someone called my multi colored mutt betta a chameleon once... I guess she meant that was the color pattern or something. I was like "noooo, it's just a mutt." I bet she just has a mutt betta with a bunch of different colors and maybe you can see one layer of color more when he turns a certain way and she's exagerating...

it's possible....but she's tried feeding me so much other crap, i think she's just one of them people who lies because they can.

OMG Steppy,

I had 2 customers ask about chameleon Bettas.

Who The hell told them there were such a fish I Really Don't Know.

Don't know if it was 1 of the week Staff.

But I just told them the only 1 I know of is the Marbles that progressively change color as they Age.

ok, there is such thing as a chameleon betta....AKA foersch or something like that....but i have read NOTHING about it changing colors. it's just a wild type betta...not one that you're gonna see in a common household. :X

my bf said that she said that the betta is on a hot pink shelf, and the betta is hot pink. -_-

i think this mystery is over....pure lie.

Yes, I agree, I have nnot know male bettas to change colours, but I do know females can, she can go from complete red to a dull grey brown, then blue & red.

I find that when female bettas are not in breeding, they are dull coloured, but when breeding she changes colours as medley betta's. I and not sure if her betta is male or female ....

As Confucius would say: "What a road of clap!" :)

Marbles are the only one to change patterns, but as they grow, not at will. All you have to do is say "Let's see it." 8)
