hi all,
could anyone suggest a good broad spectrum parasite medication that is harmless to the filters? i have looked on the net and there appears to be one called "clout" but i don`t think its available in the uk?

Mardel and Hikari both make meds for parasite treatment that do not negatively impact biological filtration or plants. I think there are some issues with UK importation , but people do find them on the net. Try ebay, or Google and you may find someone who carries them on the net. Mardel is CopperSafe. Hikari

In addition, it is my limited understanding that an anti-parasitic will not affect your biological filtration as long as it does not include an anti bacterial. Scratch malachite green and methylene blue ingredients, except for the above products. But the carbon (chemical filtration) must be removed or it will remove the medication.
