This is primarily aimed at Wills because i cant pm you spotted this nic local and im not 100% on the sex and thought it maybe good for you, what do you think?

Yeah thats the one I had to take in Shes looking quite sad in that tank and looks to have grown a little. Reasonably tempted to get her back but hmmmm......

Though I know what you mean about is it male or female. Her colours seem to have faded in that tank but shes in a tank full of red tails so not sure

I can see me getting her back if shes not moved on in a few months.

Thanks for the reply, i watched her for a few minutes and she was quiet as a mouse but was still happily feeding well. The photos make her look more colourful than she was by eye. I nipped inti ferrybridge about two weeks ago and they had quite a few males and females that looked healthy if your still looking at getting another.
