Male Or Female Bettas?

steal is 100% a male, and the others ALL look like young MALE pk/vt lines to me. the only way to be 100% sure is to seperate, raise the temp and feed high protien foods like modaz said. if any are female they will get extreamly plump around the middle.

thought Id add, I had a several year old male betta that spawned a few times.... his ovispot never went away. all his sons have the same thing and the oldest are getting close to a year now.

With long finned Bettas it's pretty easy as all the fins are longer in males. With short finned Plakats it's a bit harder but you can usually tell it's male by the length of the ventrils being longer than females, the body shape and the shape of the anal fin.
