Male Betta Severely Injured

I would divide 25l of the 95l for the male betta and that still gives the puffers 70l. The one in the pick is a VT which yours is most likely to be aswell so yeah it should look something like that.

I;ve tried looking for the thread but can;t find it, are there any household veggies that the betta can eat?

Just to add to the above information - Bettas are carnivourous and ideally need a staple diet of something like TetraBetta which is a flake food specifically formulated for their needs. What you have read about the peas is contested between Betta owners; some people maintain that as a meat eater, vegetable matter isn't good for them. I have heard good things about feeding one boiled, deshelled pea to help constipation, but it should by no means take the place of a good flake food supplemented with something like frozen bloodworm.

Good luck with the poor guy, and do all the research you can :)

Aww poor lad. Good on you for saving them all though :) After being separated from those puffers, and with lots of clean water and good food I'm sure he'll make a great recovery and will be a gorgeous looking fish :good:

Veggies that they like are de-shelled peas (cut them up as small as you can), erm you can also try cucumber too. I've currently got a little male betta regrowing is fins after stress, and bloodworms soaked in garlic juice seem to be doing wonders for him :)
Good luck with your new additions and keep us updated on how they go :good:

thanks for the tips and kind words

I deshelled 3 peas and split them into 1/4's and he gobbled them up, does not like the cucumber though.

Only temporary ontil I can get into the fish shop tommorow, closed on sundays :X

hatching some Artemia for the puffers

Thanks for the advice everyone has given me

wow, what a good job you've done!!! :good:

hehe thanks.

I've realised now, that when I got him he couldn't actually swim properly, he was being taken around the tank by a small current.

due to his finnage or poor diet im not sure, but hes much happier now.

I hand feed him pro colour flakes and use tongs to feed him his frozen bloodworms and brineshrimp

is that the same fish what a cracking
job you have done pulling that around
well done i would be proud of what you have done :good:
