Male betta in with 2 females?

i dont ive read up on this, i heard that if u raise them together, they wont kill each other cause they like are use to the other bettas, but if u put another betta in, well i guess u can say, bye bye fishy lol

omg i had my betta fry in together for like a yr, but ppl wanted to buy some off me and i wanted to move them to other tanks, soo now they will hurt each other, besides u should only jar the fry that bully the other fry, u dont need to jar them if they arnt inoying each other

I have 2 females and a male betta together and my male betta doesnt both them and the females dont bother the male betta, bettas have different attitudes towards fish, some are really aggressive and some arent

But from your sig, your trio is in a 15 gal, we're talking about a two gallon...not a good idea

diffenately not, thats the size tank i use but i only have one female and one male, lol i would laugh if someone tried to use two males for one female cause they missread this forum

Well, at anyrate, shes been told, shes been told shes been told.

I pity the fish she has purchased, and I hope they have quick painless deaths when that point gets around.

They certain deserve better.. this type of treatment is not better than bubblegear, as its done on purpose.

i got 3 females in my 25G along with various other types of fish, and 4 males upstairs divided in my 10G, i considered putting a male into the 25G, but i was way too scared to :D probably a good thing becuase even in a big 25G with pots and rocks and wood i'm still afraid, so i thought a 2G would work -_- probably best to keep yoru betta alone right now, they don't really need companions :)

*is tempted to try dropping a male into teh 25G*

*sigh* must not think bad thoughts :X

hi all, well i have taken note of what you all said, and have made a decision to move the two female bettas into my community tank, and just leave poor prince with 5 neons and a blue glow tail tetra (not sure if thats wot its called or not).

Has anyone got any advice on how i could keep Prince and his gfs together ? i have a community tank that is 30", an empty 24" tank, and then the 12" tank (Princes tank) and then a 10" fry tank. would he be ok in a 24" tank that was heavily planted, with lots of hiding places, so that if he did decide to chase them they could get away ?

NO MALES AND FEMALES TOGETHER...unless of course you dont care if they die...

i think there are a few too many fish in with the male. isnt it a 5 gal?

ok, well i wont try with keeping them together then. i thought if i had a big enough tank they cud live together, as that is sumthing that sum1 else sed they did ?

im not sure how many gallons or litres the betta tank has, but i was told that 5 neons and him wud be fine, and not over stocked

if it's a 5G there's no way you can keep that much fish in there, do you have proper filter and air pump for the neons?

as for keeping bettas in with the females..you're really taking a big chance and it's best that you dont' do that. Males will usually chase away the females if theyr'e not ready to breed and treat htem as in intruder. Unlike other fish like swordstails or whatever, yoiu can't just throw in a male betta and a female and hope they wont' feel so lonely.

I wouldn't sugguest putting your males with teh females, even with a really big heavily planted tank you still risk the females and stress them out about constantly being bullied by a male. So for ur fish's sake i'd recommend you keep them apart.
