At this moment I have my 10gal tank going trough a fishless cycle.

I had to dispose of my 2nd 10 gal cause of space issues.

And losing all of my prized 8Xnoens

All I was left with...a guppy

having absolutely no space for him.

I decided to place him in a Whisper 20 power filter.

Holding around 12oz of water.

Making a 33% water change per day.

Today I remembered a plant container 20LX5WX6H in.

My question is if a black plastic trash bag is safe as a lining? As I'am going to move my guppy in there.

lol dang this is really ghetto! i figure it will be ok, i mean how could it harm the fish as long as its cleaned and stuff?

I would give it a shot. I've heard of stranger. Old army surplus bathtubs, which are nothing but rubber liners held up by a folding frame. The best is the guy who used to go to the junk yard & pull out old refrigerator liners, seal them up, and set them up on 2x4 racks in his parents basement. He now owns a lfs with a real nice variety of cichlids.

Well last minute I decided to scale down a bit.

I have found something cleaner and simple.

It was more convenent to house my last fish in a Sun Date container 4inRx4inH holding around 48oz.

Seeing as how it stores food intended for human consumption it shouldn't be toxic for him.

Instead I may try grow algae in the plant container with the cycling water which has around 100 and something ppm of nitrate. :shifty:
