Mad Betta

hi all my first post in the betta section

i read bettas prefer a slow current but my franko loves nothing better than to swim right up the current being produced by the filter, even the current produced by the hose when i syphon in fresh water. is my franko mad.

ps. anyone else got a betta whos VERY grumpy when their woke up at night.lol. mine goes mad chasing the nearist thing to him or flairs up at me when i come have a look.

my betta preferses fast current too i think its just up to a indididual betta
and mines grumpy but never flares he just sulks lol

It all depends on your bettas personality, mine play in the filter curren when they are bored lol.

They're such funny little characters.

Hi irvs

If you have a betta splendens, he might like swimming under the filter, but that doesn't mean it is good for him. Over the years these fish have been selectively bred to produce long, flowing fins and tail and this makes it difficult for them to fight any kind of current. Eventually he will become exhausted and have a shorter life span.

bettas sure do have a great deal of carracture i could watch him all day.
ill try and get a good pic of him and see what you all think more importantly what breed he is.

One of mine is really grumpy so its nothing to worrie about lol...

Also Bubbles my first betta loves to swim into the currently and get swep right back where he started lol
