Just got my first test on my water done here are results

tank 1 and tank 2
20-40 Nitrate
1 Nitrite
150-300 Hardness
300 Alkalinity
7.8 Ph lvl


Ek, thats all bad except the Nitrate


I think i am going to do 25% water changes over the next 5 days along with changing the filters...

Anyother thoughts

I'm not sure your bacteria will cope with such a schedule and you could see your nitrite levels rise?

Which ones don't you like (apart from the Nitrite). For that I would suggest not changing the filters, just rinse the filter media in water you have removed as part of the water change & keep up small regular water changes.......
