Lotus...... Pics Update, And Had A New Tank Too!

This is my rescue Betta Lotus...

When i first rescued him out of a floating sealed bag, in June he looked like this, not too bad....

but look at him now, I didn't realise how much he has grown, and his fins are soooo much fuller!

His new home, 28 litres, and he loves it!

i had one just like him like i rescued but he had an irreparable swim bladder injury from keeping 2 bettes an the same tank

Since i have cleaned his new tank, he is constantly flaring at his reflection! and when i go over to the tank, he charges over to me!!

His story... well one of our LFS were selling all male Betta's for 50p, it was their anniversary.

I went in the one week, and they had about 20, all bagged up floating in a tank, and the bags were sealed

At the time I just looked and assumed they would sell same day because so cheap, but when I went in the next week, he was still there! I am sure the sam bag!! How was he being fed? etc...

I had a tank at home with Endlers and Habrosus which i thought he would be ok with them, but the Endlers were so so scared of him, they were trying to jump out of the water! So i raced up to the shop and bought him a little 3g tank. but felt it was too small for him

Now he is living in his new tank, and the difference is great, he is much more active in a bigger tank. He loves exploring through all the plants.

I will be getting him some tank mates though, perhaps just a snail or some pygmy's.

WOW! hes beautiful! I love bettas I have had 4 and I want more! I really like his new tank. It is great! I'm really jealous-none of mine have been nearly that beautiful. There is a Huge improvement. Congrats !
