THAT is the coolest bird i have ever seen that can go in a back yard!!! THERE AWSOME the best birds i can get in my back yard are purple martins, and sparrows, ad i shoot the sparrows :hyper:

wow nice looking birds for wild! i had a sea-gull on my lawn the other day eating a apple..looked like he rolled in some oil i should have snapped a few shots

we get them quite often. although you have to be careful when standing under that tree when there are lorikeets in it otherwise you get showered with bits of apple :D

yes fortunately i havent been showered with anything else :shifty:

i'm jealous....wish i could see something like that flying around without a leash in my area! closest i see to that here is at petsmart.

most colorful things i get in this area are robins, blue jays, and cardinals....and the robin isn't even all that pretty

Awesome pictures  At my parents house in Melbourne we get cockitoos, rainbow lorikeets as well as other types of parrots. The lorikeets love our bottle brush tree :D

My mom breeds parrots and the cockitoos, and rainbows are always flying in to visit ours. I love how the rainbows tounges are hairy so they can lick the necter and juices from fruits

You in NO WAY shape or form ACTUALLY get to see those lovely creatures with your OWN TWO EYES, do you!!!??????????????

You are one lucky person,
They are GLORIOUS photos. What a beautiful sight to see...........

HEY! Who said "Robbins" aren't pretty? (My name is Dan Robbins)

The prettiest bird I've seen in my area was a seagull with a cheeseburger stuck to it's back....it was breathtaking! B)

Cheers.

so not only do you have an apple tree in your backyard, but you get cool birds like that!?!?!?!? :p

we don't even have anything that beautiful in our pet shops here (not that i look too much, because i don't think the kitties could keep their paws off a birdcage!!

:kewlpics: i definitely have to visit australia!!!

yes silver i do actually get to see them with my own eyes lol.

newfishies the apple tree isnt very big and the apples taste horrible so we dont eat them. we leave them for the birds :)
