lorikeets in my backyard

We visited an aviary about 15 years ago that had a nice size flock of lorikeets on display. As you walked through, there were different spots where you could purchase handfuls of food, the lorikeets were not at all shy about perching on my children to get at the food, it made a beautiful setting for pictures, and memories I will never forget. Absolutely beautiful birds, you are very lucky to have them right in your own backyard!

those things are sooo common here that they sometimes fly into our class room while were working. once we were in an exam and they flew into our class roomand "did the deed" on someones paper

but theyre very pretty
