I am so excited! I have tried for so long now to get these to hatch and live. I was beginning to think it would never happen. I finally got half of it. A few hatched. I have 3 little wigglers!!!
This is what they look like right now...

They took a long time to hatch, but they are her and doing well so far.

They sure are hard to shoot on black sand! But we expect a day by day fry journal!

:hyper: Congrats. Great to hear you have finally hatched some fry. Super cute pics. Good luck in raising them. And as Sue said, daily journal required.

;)

:hyper: I found a fourth one!!!!!!!!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :hyper:
I tried to get more pics, but they are still so small that most of them just show a round white blur. I have a few that may be ok though. I will try to check them out in the morning.
I will keep you all informed on how it is going! I am so excited about these! There will be lots of pics added often. I love pics!

Hey Sue... Congrats on the new space and camera. Maybe this will mean I will get to see more pics from you. A fish room will mean easier access to the tanks for more pics, and the new camera just really needs to be used a lot so you can get good with it.

Thanks everyone!

Super! It is just the beginning of many wigglers!

Working on it. Spent time tonight, but I have to study the lens thing and some kind of adjustment for the line of sight :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: But I got the program on the computer and finally got the date on the camera. I took some trial shots, but I dumped them because the bathroom is a mess! I got the panda and friends moved and their tank ready for new occupants. Tomorrow is the Brochis, sterbai, and melanotaenia and maybe the Super schwartzii.

The lens I want got left out of the shipment, so I have to call and yell or whimper: whichever works best or makes me feel better. The kid misled me on several things. Fast double talk! But it isn't a tragedy. The stuff is all good stuff.

I promise not to look at anything except the fish. :shifty:
I have to get the pics off my camera and see if any turned out decent. I have a lot of work that I need to get done too. I just don't want to do the work. Fish are so much more fun!
I will post again later. I really can't put the work off any longer. (no matter how bad I want to)
I will just have to check in during breaks. I have missed so much lately. I need to catch up on what has been happening on here.
Maybe no one else will die/get killed and no more "problems" will happen so things can get back to normal. I so need a peaceful place to hide for a while. I hope I will get to stay in my fishy world for a little while before tragedy rips me away again. I like the fishy world a lot better than the people world! I have one more funeral in the morning and then maybe it will stop for a little while. I hope... It has gotten rediculous! My family and friends have been dropping like flies all around me. A person can only take so much, and I am there! I need fish!!!

Congratulations on the new fry! I know you have been working hard to get them to hatch. The first 7 days are the toughest. Please keep us updated :good:

  You know me so well...

I just wish I could afford a good camera. Then I would be dangerous... as much as I take pics...
I just took some more. They are still on the camera though. I think a few of these may be pretty decent. (I hope.)

I can't find the 4th one now. I have not seen it all day. I hope it is ok. I am not going to panick yet. They do hide very well in their tank.

Thanks everyone. I will post more later. :good:

Thanks.
I am so in love with them already!
They are getting more active. The come out now when I feed most of the time.
I still can't find the 4th one though. I am afraid I may have lost it.

These are just the first of many.

I harvested some LF aeneus eggs tonight. That bulging mama is scattering them every few days. She even left them all over the bottom where the filter flow awept the sand off and made the bottom bare. The lads are right there with her, but I don't think many of the eggs are viable yet.

I have two fry nets full of babies--mostly pandas, and some are getting good size. I believe I am going to have to offer them on AB. I mean I am not as diligent as NEONCORY to gather all the eggs and raise hundreds of babies, but I think I may have a couple of dozen, which will be plenty for me to find tank room and homes for.
