The problem is that as an individual you cannot import anything. You need to have a kind of importer's licence, and I have not found anybody yet that can provide me with it. I smuggled in killi eggs in February from Europe, but with live fish it is a bit harder.....

Can you bid on something at a site like aquabid? How does that work on your side of the border?

That would only function if they have a handler agent in Mexico, right? I should ask first, I guess. I already noticed though that most American suppliers only ship to mainland US. I imported my filter through a friend in Texas who frequently crosses the border, but with fish it is too tricky. I cannot ask him to cross the border on a particular day, just to ship my fish!
