any chance of getting a live voice chat room for TFF?
something like teamspeak would be good.

all members need (once the room is set up and attached to TFF) to do is download the software and have a mic/speakers
and we can talk to eachother in realtime.

I would say go for it. Just have a disclaimer that what you say and hear has no affiliation with the contents of the forum and is considered for mature audiences only. That way it can be fun and TFF's butt is covered. That and a "Live Voice Chat Mods" group could be appointed for misruley people.

I've used these things in the past, and while you say it's difficult to track down conversations and dialog, I've found that it's very easy for people to type out a heated debate, but saying it out loud is a lot harder.

On the plus side as well, it'd be a good laugh just to hear some funny pronounciations of fish names.

if you read the link, then the room can be set up fully moderated just the same as a text room.
the only difference is we actually talk to each other.

If is is a question of cost, i'm sure there are enough of us interested that we would be willing to chip in towards
purchaseing the server space.

i wouldn't like that, hate the sound of my own voice, i'm a bit shy talking to people sometimes, much more comfortable behind the safety of text!!

or we could go for something like USERPLANE, which has voice and video. this is also free, as it carries its own advertising. and also means the host, would be userplane, not TFF. the user can choose if they text, talk or cam or even all three.
