Added my live rock on saturday and its been sitting there now for 48 hours.

The only life that has appeared out of it so far is a few feather duster worms. (very small though)

One thing that really suprises me is how clear the water has gone - its crystal clear !

Yup, doesnt take that long. Sounds like your chemistry is doing well if featherdusters are allready out :)

You should have a look with a red flashlight, about an hour after your lights are off. You'd be amazed on how much life you'll find on the rock :good:

I'm a little confused, did you have to buy live rock special i don't know if I have never seen a feather duster or any living come out of my live rock for that matter? is this common?

Large feather dusters like Allen has are actually pretty rare as far as LR is concerned. I've got a bunch of smaller ones, but none the size of what he's got. My LR is now over 6 months old and I still see new things in my tank. Just found my first brittle star that I never knew I had a couple weeks ago :)
