I'm wanting to stick with a low-tech setup, what fertilisers and co2 do you use..as it seems to be doing a very good job!

I dose:
Easy carbo every day.
ADA bright K every other day
ADA Green brighty step 1 every other day for the first 3 months, then ADA green brighty step 2 for the next 3 - 6 months.

I dose pressurised CO2, Aqua Nourish and Aqua Nourish+, but if going low tech and no CO2 then the Aqua Nourish is a good bet.

I've got some saving to do haha, my plants are starting to take now and seeing some new growth ... Btw one question...would I need to buy extra tubing for connecting the lily pipes or do the external filters come with them? If not, what size tubing would I have to buy for 13 mm lily pipes?

Just check the tube size of the hoses on the planned filter and they will correspond to the size of the lily's you need to buy, putting smaller tubing on your filter can obstruct flow and damage the filter so make sure you check first mate.
