Lighting to bring out color?

marine glo is power full and just like power glo i think its closest to the sun but better for the plants i dont think my fish care much as i have them in line of direct sun light once in a while.

edit : ive just realised ive got three different sorts here and in the past ive used lots of different sorts. and have tried a few in the past.

power glo : i used this in my main tank good for comunity i think and shows of the fish nicely
sun glow : supposed to be the same wave length light as sun best for plants? :/
marine glo : this is allmost identical imo to the power glo i swapped over from power glo and couldnt tell the difference tho the light spectrum on the side of the pack suggests it is less artificial more benifitial to the plants i have my doudts as they are both made buy the same company.
aqua glo : i like to think this one is like mood lighting for the fish i would recomend it for amazonian fish (dont ask why) there are others, and i have tried another one like aqua glo but i can remeber the name of it i found it to be nice and soothing.
i have tried normal strip lights and they kinda gave me a head ache for some reason and i wasnt shure they would be any good for my plants so swapped back.

i use an aqua glow for colour and photosynthasis for my plants and a day-glow bulb to make the tank bright.....if u can use 2 tubes then i would use these

Tek :fish:

if u go to a decent lfs then they should tell u what is best to use....my lfs has about 8 different types that do different things

This link is pretty in-depth and may tell you more than you want to know. I think it's worth reading, though. I'm trying to find an article that actually shows lighting comparisons. It was very cool...I can't believe I didn't bookmark it...

I have a power glo and an aqua glo which seem to work well together. :)
