I saw this lighting unit and light but i need T'5s really does anyone know if i can replace the T8 one with T5's?

short answer is no you can't

ballasts and endcaps will be differant - you're going to have to buy a t5 one...

OR

read about T6 lamps (I think) they plug into t8 slots with a converter and give a bit more light - tubes are very expensive.

best of by far buying a t5 setup tho.

No can do as far as I'm aware. T8 ballast will also run T12 but not T5.

Tbh if your going for that light design get the T5 one, ive got it and it does a great job! 2nd best next to Metal halides.

There will be a type of T5 that is cummin out soon that fits T8 made by hagen i read in the trade mag but that could be a while. Best to pay out for the lights one and then ur happy for the rest of your marine keeping time.
