With a nest like that, I'd say the old man still has it in him!

Still no eggs, but Leviathan is doing a great job of fathering some frozen brine shrimp . Instead of eating his meal today he popped it in the nest and has been waiting for it to hatch.

A surprising number of eggs considering they finished in less than an hour. Leviathan really needs to rebuild that nest, but as long as the eggs are floating I'm happy, really. By my estimate there's a good 100 eggs, which from past experience tells me there's probably actually a good 200 or so, since I tend to underestimate (EDIT: Woah, looking at the pics again I'd say that's about right)

Don't worry about the snail, I've used them before and haven't noticed them to be horrible egg-eating monsters... besides, he has been in the exact same place for about 4 hours now, lol

Just wondering a couple of things. How big are the eggs?(1mm?) and what kind of camera do you have to take pics so good of such small things? (digital SLR?)
