Ok, Well as you know im planning my first marine tank.
thats all thats on my mind!
I keep refreshing the page every two seconds to see if there are any new posts about the marine side of fishkeeping.
But theres not.
So thought I would make this topic, just for a chitchat.
I would love it if some people could tell me about there marine tank.
Equipment, fish etc.
What corals you have
What you feed your fish
Everything you can think of to do with marine.
Hope this is abides by the Forum Rules.
If not im sorry.

:good:

as you know im setitng up my marine tank (First one) and am the same with refreshing the pag on this site and UR lol.

I wake up thinking of my marine tank and thoughout the day im thinking about it lol. lucky i work on a building site so dont have internet acces, if i did i think i would of had the sack by now!

well stockings in sig

i feed loads of frozen stuff eg bloodworm, shrimp krill daphinia all sorts after that

few leather corals and a couple of toadstalls a pink tipped anemone

and to much to type of what i can think of about marine

what did you do with the park tank in the end

Chris im the same as you.
Bae - Its still sitting in the back garden.
I have nowhere to put it.
My dad was on about fitting it in my room.
But once I set up this marine tank, I want to spend all the time on that.
Instead of slacking on it.

What happens if you have too much LR ?
I want 20-25kg in my 95ltr.
But got told thats to much.
So im just wondering what happens?

Cut your losses and buy a second hand Plug n Play Red Sea Max if you have the room. This will offer up a whole lot more options

agreed get a plug n play learn basics then move on :good:

Wow.
The prices of them!
You could always buy one for me?
Look after the young lol.

Why are this actually recommended?

You are wanting to spend £300 squid right. You could pick up one of these from time to time for around that price and all the equipment is included. Its larger and offers more options than a slimmer tank as far as stocking goes.
Everything is included and is controllable.

there good as they are teaching you about the fish not the tank as much then you go on to learn about the tank

and you could get a tl450 or tl550 but i got the tl450 and wish i got the tl550 as there more of a choice

tl 450 50litre 19 mins 50 quid

Ah.
So im advised to get a built up marine tank?
Fair enough.
I will keep my eye out.

The problem is,
I carnt have a stand.
As its on a cabinet already.

But isin't this just a standard tank?
which I already have?
Im abit confused.

well you dont need a stand and it has uv ,filter ,skimmer everything you need in the back of the tank and all lights moonlights and cooling fans

So would you advise me using one of these then?
I would of thought it would of worked out cheaper with the tank I have.
As I would only need to modify hood and buy powerheards etc.
Are these fairly easy to run?
