We've all gotten to know eachothers bettas, and we chat all day long on here so I thought it would be nice if we finally introduced ourselves a bit to our fellow betta addicts. I'll start, Hello my name is Kylie and I'm a bettaholic, lmao! I'm 21 from NY I'm currently in college having no idea what I want to do with my life though I have been tossing around the idea of opening up my own petstore all I know is that I love animals, especially fish, horses and ferrets. I have 2 horses and 4 ferrets, I spend a lot of time on the computer because theres really nothing else to do around here, I'm not very social and all of my friends have jobs. I can't think of anything else to write, here are a few pics of me so you can put a face to my name and actually know what I look like now, lmao, be afraid be very afraid!

Hiyaz, my names is Jaclyn and I come from Canada, Ontario. I'm usually online when I'm not at school and bored. I like to decorate places with my bettas. They really make the room have a happy feeling. I have 2 bettas at the moment, Gillagin, my blue veiltail male and Algae, my veiltail female. I also have a fat cat and an ugly dog. I really enjoy going to petstores and looking at their fish (unless tehy're mistreated ) and usually end up coming out with something new for my fishies. Wow.. I have no life...

Hi my name is newfishy...I am married to my wonderfull husband and have a one year old son who is the cutest baby ever to set foot on the planet, we live in pa, on a fairly good sized farm that we rent from the inlaws. the baby has started walking...and crashing and is talking more as well...mama..dada...nooooo!! woww!!! yea!! are his words so far. other then that it is still pointing and jibberish.

I am a stay at home mom and housewife and my husband is a manager at an office suppy store, before baby I was an emt then phlebotmist then lab tech then gardner(sadly a gardner makes more then any of the medical jobs) and like anybody else I was always looking for a better paying job. my husbands biggest goal in life other then our family is to be a full time muscian then retire from that and write books.

we have two horses, a older qh gelding and a young paint mare that we have raised and broke ourselfs...well shes green broke still because of my being preg and unable to ride or work her for so long. the qh gelding was my show horse growing up that I shared with my twin sister and I managed to keep him threw school then marriage then a baby...like I said I have a wonderfull husband. we have two fish tanks set up at the moment a 29 gallon with a few guppys, platys and a molly in it, and a 5 gallon with two girl bettas that I drug home from walmart( to my husbands annoyance because he thought they would die on the way home)

Howdy all.. I'm Lisa.. I'm 28 going on 12 & I'm pretty much a nerd. Nothing wrong with that though
I currently live with my fiance, 3 dogs, 1 cat and 4 fish tanks.
Uuuuuhm.. yeah........ Uhm hmm.. well.. I'm a homemaker.. think that's the right term heh. Basically I'm unemployed and stay home all day cleaning and such.
Fiance and I will be finally getting married on Oct 25th YAY. And hopefully soon after we'll be leaving this craphole of a house and buying our dream home and starting a family. I can't wait to be a mommy!

Love movies, reading, tv, video games, animals, drawing etc etc etc.

And yep.. I'm really a pretty boring person. I don't really like going out other than to see a movie or go to a petstore

wow its nice to hear ppl's stories....lucky ppl with horses, i grew up with horses, my mum still has one that was her 'baby' she bred from her mare that she had from when it was 2, unfortunately had to be put down year before last so they've always been a big part of my life til i left home, money and time stops me having a horse right now!

anyway on with it....I'm Holly (suprise suprise! lol)
23.....just graduated from uni in the summer with a degree in illustration....so yup I'm an artist of sorts, I live in Plymouth, UK in an attic flat with my better half, my 2 male rats, his 2 female rats....my rekord 60 tank currently with Odin my male VT and my pitbull pleco, and a QT tank with 5 harlequin rasboras in it waiting to go replace Odin's old tetra fin nipping tank mates.

What else....ummmm oh yeah not long finished the WORST job ever, currently jobless and poor, so jobhunting, had an interview yesterday...fun fun!

So I love drawing, I love driving my big bloo car.....I lurrrrve bettas and wish i had infinate space and money to have many I'm a big music head for all things rock.....radiohead, muse, sigur ros, fields, battles, maximo park and many many more!!!
I play the guitar a bit, have a fooonky pink sparkly acoustic ( i used to like pink a bit too much!)

Atm I spend a lot of time on the net especially on here learning new things every day about betta's and other fish, and planning all the money I could spend on fish and set ups and drooling over the bettas on aquabid....

My name is Lindsey i'm 19. I am in the small town of Dallas, Georgia. I graduated from high school last summer and will start college in the fall. Not really sure what I want to do though. lol I have lots of pets 4 dogs, 2 cats (one accidently got pregnant but will be spayed as soon as kittens are weaned) the other just got spayed, 7 zebra finches, 1 female Cardinal that I handraised from a 2 day old baby, 1 cockatiel, a hamster, a duck many tropical fish, and 5 bettas (soon to be 8). I think thats it lol I love animals alot! Can you tell?

hey I know the money and horses issue...the only reason we have ours is...we keep them at home, boarding around here is hundreds a month! as we are so lucky to rent from my inlaws...buy hay in bulk and I give my own shots and vet type things and I am very lucky to own horses that are low mantanice....they dont need shoes....dont have any health problems as theyre hardy breeds...dont have to feed them much cause they are easy keepers. very lucky indeed.

well my names Dan im 24 soon to be 25 april 1st (go ahead and say it everyone else does!). i live with my better half of four and a half years, and a roommate in a nice town house in ontario canada. currently i care for 1 cat ralph (among other names), 1 girly cocketiel charlie, two leopard geckos named nura and peema (light and love in arabic), one 20 gal. tall planted tank (soon to be redesigned), and my new betta boy george (who is so happy on his first night he built a huge bubble nest!). my girlfriend has a african hedge hog named crick (named after one of the scientists who discovered DNA was double helixed). i have three great loves cars, my girlfriend and animals (in that order). i am a huge nerd who knows lots of "useless" facts about random things. at this point i have graduated from a 2 year college program for auto mechanics but am switching fields to be a millwright. i love cars way too much to do it as a career i discovered. other then that there isnt much else to me really.

Hi! My name be Kelly (but I prefer Yuki), I am 16, and I live in the New England area. I am in my sophmore year of highschool (yay me... not.), and I really am into witchcraft. I've had four beta so far, all males. Inuyasha, a white (R.I.P.), Shadow, a dark red/blue/purple (R.I.P.), Kakashi, a red/grey dalmation, and Haku, a blue/grey VT.

I have one little sister, a 2 year old dog, and one very mean little cat. We're planning on setting up a community tank, including 3 female beta, one or two goldfish, and maybe a Molly. That will be in the near future.

Just had to chime in.. that's not a good idea.
Bettas are tropical fish (their water should be around 80F) while goldfish are coldwater. Also mollies are brackish water fish so they wouldn't be good either.
Maybe replace the mollies w/ platies? And the goldfish with uhm.. something else

I dont know about molly's and bettas, but goldfish are cold water fish....cant go with either the bettas or the mollys. if one is comfortable then the other will be very stressed.

NO. DON'T. Goldfish are coldwater and mollies prefer at least 3 of their own kind. If you'd like, you could try three mollies, three swordtails/platys or three guppies (One male + 2 female) with the female bettas, but NO GOLDFISH please.

Anyways, Im 13, and I have a 10 g. quarantine, 30 g goldfish, 40 g community and 5 g ghost shrimp (and his bettas)
