Leeches

I was visiting a friend and saw leeches in her tank, whats the best way to get rid of them,

Tank stocking
Dwarf Rasboras
Red Cherry shrimp

Plants
Annubias
Crypts

They are snail leeches.

I would say borrow a couple of dp for a week or so but the shrimp will be decimated. But is there a possibility of adding another fish an option

You can try salt. Use 1 heaped tablespoon per 20 litres.
It may or may not work but it is the only safe thing I can think of.

I caught the fish and as many shrimp as I could get then I added salt water 2 teaspoons per gallon,
