I have seen tanks that include red or blue lights which look quite nice. Not sure about what they actually do for the life in the tank though. Just wondering if anyone actually use LED lights in their tank and if so are they used in conjunction with the normal lighting are as a replacement.

Hi Tez2k007,

I use blue led moonlights in my tank. They are in conjunction with the main lights and are used so I can see the fish at night when the main lights go off and it also helps reduce the shock of the main lights coming on/off for the fish (they come on about 30 mins before the main light comes on and go off about 90 mins after the main lights go off).

Fish seem happy with it and it looks v cool.

Ah right cool cheers mate. Any idea a good place to get them either in store or online. Are they just a strip that sticks to the tank.

Can I jump in on this subject

As I am thinking about getting at least one blue light to set up like gfaduck posted :good:

Anyone got any recommendations to who makes good and reliable ones ? and if so please could you post a link to a supplier
