Hey guys...got some terrible news...my beloved cockatiel Maxie passed away this afternoon in my hands.......the curtains broke and the crashing sound gave her a panic attack and her heart gave out

R.I.P Maxie, you will always be my little goofball

I feel like we should take a moment of silence for crossfires bird.

No, don't spoil the game because of this. Maxi wasn't actually an albino, she was a whitefaced lutino. If she were albino, she'd have red eyes. She was a sweetie, and when you said "Maxie, you want kisses?" she would bend her neck and offer to be snuggled. We'd have hours of scritching and cuddling. She had a good run, and a good life. When we bought her at the LBS (local bird store) her original owners had given her up after a day. Alone and abandoned, we took up Maxi into our arms and hearts. I've had her since the 2nd grade, so she was pretty old. Her sweet heart just coulnd't keep up I guess.

Now her friend Mimi is all alone. But she is older than Maxi, so I won't have her much longer either.

This is how I think my cherry barbs are about to go. The female seems about to give out. She's not sick just been hiding unlike her but she's about 6 years old and the average lifespan is 4 years and up to 7 years. The male is looking similar
