Large Pleco Stocking

Hi there,

I have been offered a 20cm long pleco, for $10NZ, which is really cheap its like $7.50 Us dollars. I have a 4 foot tank, would it suit to have him in the 4 foot with the listed fish below? Thanks

Apart from the Bristle nose (They might have a couple of scuffles then settle down)those tank mates should be fine with it, although i'm not sure about minimum tank size for an adult Common Pleco, you may find he outgrows it, but I don't know. Hope this helps

well what kind of plec is it? some get very very big and very very messy adding a huge load to your filter.. if its a common plec then to be honest i would pass, they get big and messy and fast and are not very easy to rehome when huge

if its a common pleco he will grow to nearly 2ft in length if fed correctly and water stats are spot on.....
