How much did you pay for it? There worth alot less than true jags anything over £10 and you have been ripped off.

not seen a jaguar catfish before , will be interested to see that once its unbagged

the oscar looks fantastic , a big chunky chap . lots of colour for a big oscar too.

ps walkers gotta say i love the random pic of the table/cabinet lolol

lol the flash was on and i forgot so i pointed it away from the tank as to not scare the fish lol

not sure how to embed but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiG6pm4IpS4 haha :D

Great looking fish and the face off between the rottie and the oscar was good in the first video :D Seriously nice look fish :D

but I have to agree with Kizno I dont think it is a true jaguar catfish the patterning on that one is more sparce but I could believe it was due to stress levels.

Lovely to see at last. From the first vid now you know why I said add the rotty first .

just looked at the false jaguar catfish on planet catfish and mine looks nothing like their pics. it has patterns all over the body like a jaguar believe it or not  when it was first put in the tank in the bag it went white with the pattern and actually looked better. it i see it again ill get some pics when its settled, it went straight under the wood so ill possibly not see it again

i think he is boss of the tank to be honest... hes chased the gold severum off a few times and tried to get the diadema out of its hiding place a few times, not bad for the smallest cichlid in the tank

how do i use a picture from google?

my jaguar catfish looks like the 2nd picture when i googled jaguar catfish

mine looks like this one

link didnt work

oh nice looking oscar, no hith of any discription, thats good to see...rare with most oscars...
That catfish is stunning
the oscar is in absolutely stunning condition no hith what so ever, all fins are perfect and no battle scars. it does have a few scales that are damaged due to the lfs catching him but they will heal in time.
the catfish is stunning but im not sure how much of it i am going to see.... i might see if i can get it a mate to try and bring it out more if it hides away :good:

final stocking is -

1 x oscar
1 x rotkeil severum
1 x gold severum
1 x diadema acara
1 x black ghost knifefish
1 x L190 royal panaque pleco
1 x siamese algae eater
1 x jaguar catfish

i was going to add a group of firemouths but im unsure about this now as the tank is looking pretty full as it is and i dont want to over do it. maybe 1 more jaguar catfish if i can find one :good:

ill take some better pics tomorrow of all the fish that i can get pics of :good:

Yeah i noticed those wounds, thats nothing, couple of days no worries, hehe yeah but its nice to have a fish appear now and again, you think oh yeah forgot i had you  does in have fins like a pictus, being like very hard sharp plastic, if so be careful oscar does not try to eat it, he shouldnt, looks a good size, i had normal pictus with my oscars without issues, but keep an eye.. :good:

to be honest i didnt feel the cat so im unsure about the fins but it is a good size of about 6 inches and very chunky so i think its pretty safe. i hope so anyway.....
the gold severum was a late addition to the tank as maidenhead let him go for £10 :hyper: it was being kept for a customer that damaged their tank and had been there for about 3 months. they had not heard from the owner and had no contact number for him so when i asked if it was for sale they said probably as they have had it so long without word from the owner.... they asked how much i was willing to pay for it, which i wasnt going to say so they said £15 but i ended up walking out with a nice chunky 6 inch sev and £10 missing from my pocket ;) bargain of the day
