Hey,

I know in the species index it says kribs cant live with fish like guppies but can you get exceptions??

Also do you have to keep them in a pair?

Thanks, Orange Shark

Hi have kept Kribs in the past they do best in pairs.Have only had probs with Kribs when they are starting to m8. They do take over a small area of the tank and make it there own and protect it from any fish.

deffenetly, kribs will be more colourful in a pair, they can be kept with guppys if alone in a tank over 20 gallons.

kribs will become very terratorial when they pair up to breed and will besicly kill or stress any fish that comes into its breeding zone. its best to keep a pair of kribs alone in a 15 gallon tank minimum but better in a 20 gallon.

another thing once they start breeding they wont stop and soon you will have the same problem with kribs as any livebearer the fry keep comming and comming.

if you were going to get a krib get a female they tend to be less agressive

hope this helps
