after all my recent stress with my pair of kribs i was starting 2 think about changing them around, BUT me being me i decided 2 give it 1 last throw of the dice. i fashioned a sort of breeding net out of a clear bag u get the fish in and some k'nex 2 seperate the male and female for a day, after at least 30 mins of chasing the male and taking everything out the tank i finally got him and put him in and fed him....all was good....or so i thought.
as i had all the lights off 2 reduce the stress i checked back later that nite 2 see if he was ok but 2 my disbelief he appeared 2 be gone, the 1st thing was "o god i have killed him" but then i realised i couldnt see him at all not even a body, so i was considering the options when i suddenly saw him shoot past in the actual tank, he either hurdled the top of the bag or rammed his way through the small holes, either way he was back in the tank so i took the bag out and thought if he would rather be in the tank then it cant be that bad.
the next day the unthinkable had happened, he was swimming around with the female and both of them started 2 show more intense colours and most of all he was eating. now they r both creating a mound of sand in front of the cave they r in, its huge and theres little holes around where they have taken the sand.
just thought i would let every1 no since alot of people helped me with their advice and 4 anyone that thinks the aggresion shown between kribs will result in death just try seperating them for a day or even a few hours in my case.
thanks people!
