Im just struggling with the filter outlet, its making my vallis go mental

Visited the LFS yest. Got a bunch of vallis, yes, I know, I cheated lol. Couldnt help it, this stuff is long. Approx 2 foot. Im gonna get some more to fill it out a bit.

Also got a pair of Blue Rams (hopefully) they were digging and protecting one corner of the tank they were in.

Well, just been looking in the tank for the rams, as I hadnt seen them much today. Found them at the back in the sag digging

The females belly is really pink today too, anyone got any tips? Do I just let them continue, anything I shoild be looking out for?

Anyone got any ideas on what to do with my filter outlet, as you can see it is right by the vallis an is way too powerful. I have fiddled with the small pipes to direct it but no luck...

Depends on what kind of angle you need to get out of it, you could add some parts from an internal smaller filter with a spray bar, they come with elbows that fit together, that way you could kind of move the outlet over. Bare in mind this can limit flow as the flow will be coming through more sharp angles.

Or, you could drain some water, and gently heat up the part you want to get more angle from and bend it, but I have to stress when doing this, working with heat is DANGEROUS!!! If your not confident, DON'T do it!!! If your OK with it then make sure you don't squash the pipe which will limit the flow and if you bend it with out squashing it then try and make a gentle curve. Some people squash the tip tho to get more current but it puts the motor under stress.

Some great tips, thanks Steveo. Gently bending the plastic is a really good idea, Ive fiddled with it and its at an ok angle, for now, but ill take a look at it in the week and see what I can do. Those bits are replaceable anyway, if I get carried away lol.

Last update for a while now, as just gonna let it all grow a bit now. More Vallis added, more root tabs added. Whilst moving some vallis a few of them have runners which also have runners, lol, kinda weird. The rams are doing ok, no more signs of breeding, but Ive added some slate, just in case.
