Well, I've been putting a lot of time and effort into my aquarium lately (3 mos new to this hobby) and I think my psycho kitty Lucy is jealous. She just glares at me when I'm fiddling with my tank and if I'm on TFF for more than 1/2 hour, she starts babbling and climbs onto my lap, blocking me from the keyboard.

I bought her a new toy to say sorry for ignoring her. It's called a Panic Mouse and is a little mechanical wand that swings a fuzzy mouse in a random pattern. So far she loves it. :D

My wife's got a cat, maybe I'll see if my clown knife's love it??

Uhm no I love the little ball of furr..seems to be the purrrrrrfect pet for the wife.

My dogs are jealous of the time I spend with the fishies too. And if I am on TFF, they get on my lap (whether I want them to or not) and lay on the keyboard all sad as if I am killing them..........it's a hoot!

Funny! My old gal is jealous as well. I like to sit beside the aquarium and watch the fish for a while. It's in my dining room so I have to use a dining room chair which i scoot next to the tank to do it.

When she sees me sitting there, she whines and up on my lap she gets. She doesn't really find interest in the fishes themselves (she's a bird and rodent cat) but she'll hop up and climb to my shoulder and lay there just so I stop looking at the fish and pay attention to her.

Funny thing, I can be sitting anywhere else, and she doesn't act like this. She's a loving kitty, but her attitute is so different when I'm playing w/ the fishies.

my older cat can't reach the tank - so in her eyes its not worth noticing.
My younger one however is fascinated by it...he just sits there watching the fish, but if they face the glass he starts freaking out.

My cats are weird.

my friend has a large tank with big fish. the fish attack the glass every time the cat walks by.

so funny. cat jumps in the air and hisses.....

le tables thery have turned, have they not haw haw haw haaaww

My friend has a cat that will actually stick its face in his aquarium trying to get the fish... I didnt believe it untill I saw it myself, and Now I am in process of making a canopy for him to stop it... lol

I was worried that my kitty would go fishing, but she dun seem to care about the tank unless I'm looking at it.

One of my cats will sit with us sometimes and watch the fish. Every now and she'll paw at the glass. The other cat just goes from tank to tank, jumps up on the hood or light fixture and drinks the water coming out of the filter or trys to drink the water out of any hole it can find on the the top of the tank. Then it lay on the light fixture and go to sleep, until we catch it there and chase it off! Sometimes I find cat hair floating on the water

   Why do cats insist on drinking out of everything except their water bowl. My friend gave up and just leaves a couple of coffee cups of water on the counter for his cats.

We just assumed the tank water had a "fishy" flavor the cats love. But then again the same cat will wait for us to get out of the shower so he can get in the tub and lick the water off the bottom of the tub :/
