Kissing Fish?

Doesnt balloon mean rounded like the mollys? I think these are just dawrf kisses.

Yes, Balloon is rounded like Balloon Mollies, however it doesn't have to be as pronounced. I don't believe there are Dwarf Kissers, at least none that I have ever heard of or seen. The ones in the picture are Balloon Kissers. You can tell, because they look rounder, and the body is much deeper. If you compare that, to a regular Kisser, you'll see the difference. :)

Edit: Here's a picture of my regular Kisser, so you can see the difference.

To clear things up.
Balloon is when the fish is made rounded by line breeding for generations of fish.
Dwarf is just a term for fish that is smaller then 4/5 inches that comes from a family of fish that some get bigger (i.e cichlids), when there is a Dwarf fish they arn't mutated etc like you think, they're just small

 , I think kissing gouramis need a new name, so many jokes and mislead thoughts :p
Cichlids "kiss" too, that's how they fight, show off strength, and possibly get ready to breed. Gouramis and anabantoides are closely related to cichlids, to make a connection ;)

Technicaly, tetrafan, that pearlscale goldfish, though it looks like any balloon tropical, is not 'balloon' as we would reffer to kissing gouramies or mollies simply because it is a mutation in kissers and mollies (that was then taken advantage of just as a new color morph would be) while, in the case of goldies, it was selectively bred from slightly deeper-bodied fish to look extreme like that. Anyway, ignore my nit-picking. It realy doesn't matter how they came about - none of these fish (balloon rams, balloon kissers, pearlscale goldfish) are hybrids. I would say the same for mollies but 'common' mollies are hybridised anyway...

I was also wondering about Kissing Gouramis, since I saw a tank full at walmart. Their desciption there makes them sound like nice, little, peaceful fish, when in reality they grow 8-12 inches.....!

I've seen a 10'' kissing gourami in a tank with feeder goldfish and it never touched any of them... I've never found kissers to be aggressive, but I've seen them listed as 'semi-aggressive' ... I guess it just depends on who you ask.
