A large size doesn't necessarily mean a fish is aggressive. Having said that, they do need a large tank and they will, as you can see, fight with each other - and also with other gouramies (where their size means they can cause serious damage to smaller species). They are otherwise peaceful towards other species - eccept that very small fish can get eaten
