Finally got 3 fish in my tank this week......and that is the end of the good news!

LFS advised that 2 Clowns and 1 Yellow tail Damsel should be fine in my Nano tank.

First few days everthing is fine, but the yellow tail is a bit timid.

However I come home this evening and one of the Clown's is swimming upside down and has
half of his tail fin eaten away. Then I see the Damsel attacking him again and again.

The damaged clown will not survive so I have taken him out.

However what should I do next?

Removing the Damsel will require me to remove all coral and live rock as he just hides
and I cannot catch him. So it should be easier to remove the remaining clown but
what do I do with it? If I leave the Clown in surely it will be attacked too!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

read a lot about this in books especially in there behaviour towards Clowns

Must say though never had an issue with my damsel

Try trapping it, instead of netting it.

Maybe with a glass or plastic bottle with a little food inside (with no other food available to it)

Then when the little #29### goes in, stick a net over the top of the bottle quick and pull it out.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Finally managed to extract the Yellow tail.......it was a fight but just about managed it.

However, overnight the tail fin on my only remaining clown seems to have got smaller (eaten away more). The only
other life that I am aware of in my tank is 2 crabs, 4 turbo snails and a blood shrimp. Surely one of these cannot be
attacking my clown??????
