Kh? Should I Add Some Crushed Coral?

Hi Moved house and the tank has been in current position for 8 weeks,
Readings are currently:

Tank size: 122cmx35cmx45cm
pH:7.1
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:n/a
kH:10mg/l
gH:100mg/l
tank temp:27 degrees
Tank inhabitants: Tetras, barbs,mollies,platties, gouramis
Mainly plastic plants, some live
Filter Aquaone cf 500
Location Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.


Reading around it would seem that I should add some crushed coral to raise my kh, could you please advise me please?

As long as your PH stays steady you don't need to adjust anything. A stable PH is far more important the adjusting any levels to "ideal" amounts. Most tank raised fish are very adaptable.

Your tank looks very healthy. I would stick to whatever you are doing. If it isn't broke don't fix it.
