Just wondering if theres any fish keepers from kent on this forum? theres a few good shops down here, but they must be going out of business because fish keepers down here seem few and far between!

I am in Ashford. Plenty of shops within a 20 mile radius.

I'm near Maidstone, 3 shops local to me, but there are a few up in north kent I like

In Bromley. North Kent/London border.

I live within 2 mins drive of Keston Aquarium (it's in the Wyevale Garden Centre in Keston. It small in size but well stocked (freshwater + saltwater), v-well maintained, and the staff give good advice on stocking and cycling. Very impressive for a small shop, I highly recommend it.

I also live within 15 mins drive of Maidenhead Aquatics in Polhill Garden Centre. It has recently been renovated and this seems to have helped them to clean up their act; the old setup wasn't very well maintained. Now they have a huge selection (freshwater + salt) which is very well laid out, impressive Koi section to boot.

Those are the highlights in Bromley (as far as I'm aware). Both are worth a visit.

Hi all
I am a newbie to the site today and live in Swanley, Birchwood Aquatics is just around the corner and would recomend these guys to anyone, Maidenhead Aquatics at Dartford 10 mins away plus a few others within a 15 minute drive. If I feel like a good day out Wholesale Tropicals in Bethnal Green is worth the 30 min drive. Always up for a look at a different shop!!!
Spoilt for choice here really.

i live in south london. know few in kent. problam is a13 is always jammed.

bethnal green tropical is best and cheep so far. (if u could find a place to park.)

I'm in Canterbury mostly and sometimes in Bromley and sometimes in Surrey!

Been to soo many fish shops!

Its a shame Canterbury Koi shut down but it was in a stupid location (behind argos in Canterbury!) I didn't even know it was there and I live 2 mins down the road!

Ark Aquatics in ashford is ok but recently they have had nothing in stock and anything they have had has been in quarantine.

I've just discovered maidenhead aquatics in ramsgate - its is absolutly fantastic!!

There's also south east water gardens - the fish section is now owned by the lady who runs the reptile shop that is there now, shes lovely and even has dwarf puffers! :D

Have also been looking at shops in bromley recently, birchwood aquatics is the cleanest fish shop I've ever seen but I couldn't believe the starving ADF's.

There is a little fish shop in mottingham that sells reptiles too, a little grubby but the friendlies staff ever!

ahh we tried out Birchwood Aquatics the other day, so so so clean! unfortunately the african dwarf frogs were in the worst condition I have ever seen, It was horrible to see them starving to death like that. It really surprised me because everything else was so well taken care of!

I live in Essex and go to living reef, i think its amazing. :good:
