The diatoms will go away soon enough. This is a pretty new setup and going from Dutch to this, a diatom outbreak was predictable. Unless I'm really up on waterchanges after a major tank upheaval, I get diatoms afterwards, no biggie. Just more waterchanges.

Quick update...

Since using Floranaxis i have seen some brilliant growth in this tank, i would recommend this product! It is now C02-less and has been for about 3 weeks. So the dosing at the moment is 24hr JBL flora and 4 drops of Floranaxis. The HC is doing really well.

Wow Ian, the HC is thriving. More so than mine haha, my tanks going through some trouble with CO2 injection currently. A 2kg FE is lasting me a little over a month, somethings not right there.

I quickly skimmed through to see what regime your using on this tank, in terms of light, co2 and ferts but couldnt see. I noticed you mentioned Floranaxis, a quick eBay search and it doesnt exist. Care to divulge a little more into what it is and where i could find it to try?

Typo I think, its FlorinAxis.

This is looking very good, Ian. The HC has filled out considerably. Is that Hydrocotyle peaking from behind the rock? I love that plant.

Florinaxis, huh? I'll have to look over that product. This is the citric acid thing, right?

It appears to be doing some good in the nano tank. I have just started using it on my lounge tank, so we'll see what happens!

Yes it is! It's one plant i have saved from my main tank.

I looked at the FlorinAxis product, and they are mentioning that it is providing key-components for the Krebs cycle. Anybody knows what this is?
