sadly way out of my budget - brand new upwards of £700 if you do a quick google on it! i've rarely see them crop up 2nd hand.

prb, 250-300 second hand in mint con... i wouldnt never buy a brand new juwel.. they last forever you can deffo be confident that a second hand juwel will be fab
i got a 450 vision ( full with fish etc etc) for 170, 2 yrs ago.. was the dogs danglys!! bargains deffo to be had ;)
gumtree is a fab place for local tanks.. people kill there fish coz they havent got a clue, get peeved off and sell up.. leaving us to reap the benefits

 too much out of my budget, Could you recommend me a 4ft tank for under 250 pound, or am I being unrealistic?

Just keep at eBay, Gumtree, and Aquarist Classifieds - bargains do crop up, and around London I'm always seeing nice sized tanks going for cheap. Under £250 you should be able to find something no trouble.

not unrealistic at all.. you have a look around and you will deffo find a full setup prob with external etc and fish for that money.... id certainly expect at least that much for a 250 budget

i have a trigon 350 and its a decent. tank but it is a pita but bargains can be had mine was less than £200. If given the choice i think I would have a rio 300/400 or vision 260/450

Yeah, I really need the tank around march, ideally would like to spend less than 200 but can stretch.
Ive seen a few deals but there so far away from me.
Thanks for your help guys

I have just got one of these with the stand for £200. Quick question before I set it up I have built the stand and am about to put the tank on it but i just wanted to know would i need to put some polysyrene under the tank first or would it be ok as I have noticed there's a few cm gap between the tank and stand.

Hi, Juwel tanks don't need foam underneath as they have a supporting frame. Sounds like your stand is out of true if you have gaps. That would be really bad with the weight when filled with water.

No mean when the tank sits on the stand I can notice a cap from the tank and stand but only in the middle and not around the edges
