Juwel Ro 125L. Can You Remove Its Top?

There is a wooden lid which I assume its primary or secondary purpose is to hold the glass under the pressure of the water.
I wondered if these are glued on or wether they can just be lifted off?

they are siliconed on the top, can i ask why your gonna take it off, are you thinking of getting a Luminaire? If you do take it off, it will nul and void any gaurentee on the tank.

I was only going to see if it came off in order to place my background in one piece or if I would have to do it in 2 or 3 pieces.

what age is the tank? like is it the newest model ?

I bought it 2nd hand last August and it was probably 2 years old before then.
