Juwel Rekord Noise

I have a juwel rekord 96 its about 3 yrs pld now and for ages now even a couple of yrs its been makin a vibrating noise .i've tryed moving things around.buying a new power head thing(the rubber thing the powerhead sits on).tape on the lid.it's drivin me mad.Wot do i do to get rid of the F***ing noise???.The heater touches the power head.

I had a vibrating noise on my juwel and found it to be the air pipe for the Venturi Nozzle Set vibrating on the filter box/tank

have you considered getting a new impeller for the powerhead, better still get a new powerhead
and upgrade at the same time. (rekord 96=600pump? upgrade to 800)
if you have the cash then go for an external a get rid of the juwel filter toatally.

I got rid of the rekord internal for an external and it was the best decision i've ever made.

I now use an eheim 2211, but there are lots of options. e.g. fluval 105, tetratec 600 (i have heard lots of good reports about this one!) or even the eheim ecco 2232.

You can buy all of those filtrs online at aquatics online a good company for those in UK which I would recommend.

It is wotrth shopping around though. You can sometimes find some real bargains!
