Equipment: Juwel 240l tank, lighting & cabinet
Age and condition: Used
Reason for Sale: Upgraded to a bigger tank
Delivery or Collection: Collection
Price: Looking for £80+
Location: Warrington, Cheshire. WA5 8WN

I have for sale a Juwel tank and stand. I'm not sure how old it is as I bought it off someone else a year ago. I'm pretty sure its one of the older models too. This tank would be suitable for someone with a fish house for example who may not be too bothered about pristine looking tanks with no scratches at all etc.

I'm selling due to upgrading to a larger aquarium. If I'm being honest this is in 'okay' condition, but does have visible scratches on the front glass and a few on the sides too. I've tried to take some photographs highlighting these, to give an idea of what they're like. I must admit, that with water in the tank they are less obvious. The tank has no leaks, although the previous owner has used quite abit of solicone around the top and bottom corners of the glass (see photos), but in my experience I have seen no evidence of any leaks. As you would expect, the cabinet has some slight consmetic damage, which again I have photgraphed, but both the tank and cabinet are in perfect working order.

Also included are 2 x Arcadia Marine White tubes, which are both less than 9 months old, as well as 2 x Juwel Reflectors.

I must stress that this does NOT come with any filters, heaters or any other equipment that I haven't mentioned above. Just the tank, lights and cabinet.

All negotiations and questions must be posted in this sales thread and NOT by PM.

Interested, but wouldnt even know where to start in terms of an offer. Reasonable price in mind, considering I could pick up as early as tomorrow?

I was hoping for around £100, but if you can collect tomorrow I will accept £80.

Sorry, I wouldnt be prepared to let it go for anything less than £80

Thats fair enough, I knew I was being a bit cheeky. But if you dont ask you dont get! Actually regretting spending so much setting up my second hand 120L now. If you'd have put this on here before xmas I would have snatched your hand off. Let me have a think and come back to you in an hour or so.

Okay EX1EY, I'm off to work in abit. I finish at 10pm, so if I don't reply, I apologize. I'll get back to you asap after work if you decide to offer £80.

Thanks for the interest nonetheless :good:

Anyone...

I need this going soon otherwise I'll be putting it on ebay.

Im sorry for the delay in replying. Are there a lot of scratches in the glass? Basically I need to know if this will look unsightly in my living room? If its in reasonable enough condition to be used as a display tank in a living room and the stand isn't bashed to bits then I will take it if we're still agreed on £80? Will have to pick up saturday afternoon or sunday now though, at your convenience of course :)

Hi EX1EY, Yes £80 is fine.

In all honesty, after removing water I didnt realise the number of scratches. Looking at them now, I admit that they may look off putting, but if you look at the picture of it with plants and fish in my opening post, it looks fantastic once filled up and planted, with the odd few visible scratches.

This had been in our living room since I bought it and it definitely didnt look unsightly (my mums the fussiest person ever and she thought it looked fine  )

The cabinet is fine.

I'll post some pictures, more zoomed in on a couple of the more visible ones.

Yeah im sorry if it seems like Im being fussy. I want it but if i take it home and its a bit of a wreck my bird wont be having any of it lol. It looks great when its full but theres one huge scratch thats putting me off. Really not intending to mess you about mate. When its on the stand how tall and wide is it? It does look pretty much perfect for the setup i want.

It's fine don't worry.

It's 48 inches long, 16 inches from front to back and its 50.5 inches tall when on the stand.

Cheers. I need to get home and do a bit of measuring. Im 50/50 on it, mainly because of the scratch. I'll drop a note on here at about 8 pm tonight with my final decision. Obviously if you sell it in the meantime unlucky for me, but maybe if you could hold off putting it on ebay until tonight? Again, sorry if you feel im messing you about, not intending too, you'd understand if you'd met my other half (witch) :)

LOL, okay dont worry. When I said I was in a rush to sell it, that was mainly to stop my mum nagging so I know the feeling. I will only be putting it on tomorrow if I decide to sell on ebay so not to worry.

Cheers.

Mate dun sum measurin this evenin and i dont think ive got the space for it right now in all honesty. Good luck selling it mate im sure it'll go on ebay.
