Hey ladies and gentlemen.

I am new to the forum and partially new to the hobby (been in about a year and $400 ago lol).

I just wanted to introduce myself. From what Im reading it looks like there are a few 'regulars' on this site that seem very nice.

Nice to meet you all!

Hiya bhamlin154,

Welcome to the forum. I've been here only a short while and I haven't any experiance with Tropical fish. One thing I will say though, don't take advice from fish shops until you have checked with these guys here and don't associate the amount of threads members have posted as experiance until you get to recognise their names.

This is a great source of knowledge and if it wasn't for the people on this forum I would have lost a lot of money and fish, or would have had ill stock.

Martin :good:

You mean there may be some people on here who post to get their post count up Martin? What a suggestion!?!?

Oh look another one for me! :shout:

Welcome to TFF bhamlin154, Martin's point is a very good one, its just something quite sensitive to me right now!

:good:

Welcome aboard.
You've found the right forum.
The members are very knowledgable and generous with their advice and PATIENT

hiya :hi: :fish:

this is good advice mentioned above. however, dont just check on here. the key is research. google every fish you have and learn everything about it. research about everything :good:

also, as a newbie, you will probably find yourself asking a question and getting a response that may seem a little harsh. pay no mind to it. it does happen a lot and its best just to ignore that person unless they had something useful to say in which case you would just ignore the attitude etc behind it. for the most part, the regular, passionate people are helpful and friendly :) dont let anything discourage you, everyone has to learn somewhere its just some people forget that they knew nothing once too and had to ask questions, make mistakes to learn ;)

p.s. if youve had fish for around a year and youve only spent 400 bucks then youre pretty lucky :good:
