Mother-in-law normally sleeps in our spare room when she stays at Xmas time. Only trouble is, I've installed 2 fish tanks in there since last time. Boy, she's gonna have a hard time sleeping with those filters and motors going. Hummmmmmmm!!!!!

I don't really mean it anyway, we get along fine and I've fixed the noise by adjusting the filter housing. Now it should be a very quiet hummmm.

Blah ... 3 tanks up and running for me. 2 x 15G and a 40G ... noisy, yup .... but I love it!!! When I'm in england for special days like my (soon to be ) mother in law its just too quiet to get to sleep! I really do miss the sound of my aquarium filters

Perhaps your mother in law likes the sound as well and will decide to get some lovely big tanks to go into her bedroom after that?
