Just Got This Email From Pfk.

Had a few problems with both external filters breaking at the same time ( :crazy: ) little while ago so it's a bit odd and mismatched right now (mainly one of each fish) but there is;

1x Aequidens pulcher
1x Thoritchys (sp? can never spell that  ) ellioti
3x Mesonauta festivus
1x Cichlasoma octofasciatum
1x Hemichromis bimaculatus
1x Geophagus brasiliensis
2x Herotilapia multispinosa

A few rainbowfish, about 25 cories ( I didn't think they'd get on with cichlids when the tank was first started about 2 years ago but they get ignored totally, all still alive and kicking!)
and some Bristlenoses, I have no idea how many as they keep breeding in there, keep having to sell some of the kids.

im going to complain...nowhere in the checkout process did it say that I wouldn't receive the gift...

Still be a tiny tank though. I can't believe PFK promote the use of these tanks.

What type of lighting do you have?

I'd just use it as a shrimp tank

That's what I'm using it for. 30litres is good for a shrimp tank. I believe the minimum is 19litres for a shrimp tank.

If you've only subscribed today then they will not send you the "upgraded" tank.
They have said they will give a smaller tank but I doubt that the tank will be any smaller than the original tank they were offering as by law a replacement must be the same of better.
The original offer was a 14litre tank

I know, if they send me less than 14 litres or something of equal value. I'll be taking it further. They can't promise you one thing and then give you something worth less

There T&C's says subject to availability. I previously subscribed when they had a free Fluval internal as the free gift. They run out of the filter and didn't offer an alternative but still expected me to continue the subscription.

Please inform me how it goes, im in pretty much the same situation as you = /

The tank offer is still valid now! (look on their website)

I know it says subject to availability, but if the product is no longer available then they are required to tell me that upon purchasing the subscription. There is no way that it should be a blind gamble as to whether or not I'll get the gift. They should make it absolutely clear that they have stopped the offer. I'm pretty sure this would come under misleading information legislation.

'If false or inaccurate information has been used in relation to a product or a service, and this information has induced you into a purchase you would not have otherwise made, you can claim that the action was misleading'

Why shouldn't they promote tiny tanks? There is nothing wrong with them if stocked correctly!

I got that e-mail to just waiting on the post man now. Cant wait to get my tank. wooooo

The information isn't misleading, it clearly states in the small print that it is subject to availability, and what would be the point in taking it further when you'd lose your case? You'd just be left with a crippling legal fee.

I recieved the same message, Im kinda bummed its not the original offer tank, since it would be perfect for a desktop shrimp tank. Tho i guess i wont complain about a bigger tank, my wife will be the one complaining. Ill have to see what those two alternative tanks are so i can figure out which one ill be choosing!

Since subscribing the original tank offer I have found out that 19litre is minimum for shrimp. The only they were offering was 14litre. I'm glad its bigger
