yes there 8 or so inches so probally atleast a year old, two males would have either killed or seriously wounded each other by now
a few times i have had minor torn lips/scrapes/from where they tussle and catch a rock or something similar,, they can be aggressive, this is why i won't have any more in my tank,,,i could not imagine having four together in a 150us,,,,also there problem is sexing them, only true way is when they produce there breeding tubes and actually lay the eggs,,,,,,theres lots of little miths about forehead size,spots on dorsal fins etc etc,,,,,sounds like there just establishing

there can never be enough oscar lovers. i am a little concerned about him putting two full grown oscars that have never met in the same tank. but if he can make it work good for him and the oscars respectively.

you,and the rest of us...i am still hankering after that pair in my lfs...no room for a tank tho, i would have no objections to spending the rest of my evenings sitting on the floor to make room, but the rest of the family ...well they just dont see things my way

well i spoke to soon, waldorf and statler were at it again last night.

does anyone know a quicker way to upload a vid, or can i send a vid to someone to upload for me if they have a quicker computer (caught their behaviour on video) but as i broke my lappy last week, im using my old old OLD computer and it takes forever to upload (that vid of the oscars the other day took three hours to upload onto youtube!!!!!!)

sorry to hear that. I was really hoping things would go to normal with them.

A quicker way to upload a vid than what? if you go to imageshack.us and download their toolbar, you can upload 50mb videos without having to wait for youtube to approve it.

how would uploading it to one of us (while you wait equally as long) so we can upload it for you help make things faster?

sorry i thought the age of my computer was making it so slow to upload; with my laptop, uploading to youtube only used to take 10/15 mins for longer vids, yet the other day for a video of a few minutes took half the morning! i put it down to it being an old computer!

sorry should have said uploading from my computer to youtube, not from camera to computer. i thought perhaps if i could send the video in an email!

i just want some people on here who have experienced aggression or breeding oscars to take a peek and tell me what they think. its bizarre behaviour and scary at times, especially when the oscar seems to turn and shake at me!

i dont dare download anything to this old brick, plus thats how i killed my laptop last week, downloading a programme and picked up a virus or something. OtherHalf is reluctant to let me download things now without his supervision!
