Hi Guys,

Apologies in advance for what may be a noobish question but I am stumped!

I recently required a bargain Vision 180 aquarium from ebay for 100 quid, and I have no idea how to put the internal filter together (it is just an empty hollow shaft at the moment.

The tank came with an icecream tub of trinkets, but most of them seem to be nothing to do with the filter itself.

Can anyone guide me through how to set it up, as I am well excited about getting the bad boy planted up.

Cheers,
Tom

did you get a power head with it?

and it uses sponges.

check out juwels page http://www.juwel-aquarium.de/en/filter_full.htm if its the old style it has 2 white plastic holders that the sponges fit on to clot in the box and a sheet of floss goes on top, doesn't matter about the black or green sponge if they are there, better to use all blue sponges.

Emma :)

Thanks guys, I am just about there and the help is much appreciated.

There were no sponges, but the holders were there and fit fine.

I have been given a powerhead, which fits well.

The only bit I am flumexed with now is there seems no way to attach the lid.

Any suggestions?!

Picture of my exact filter model can be found here.

the lid just sits on top, my hatchet fish kept jumping on the lid and going crispy so i took the lid off, at least i can net them out of the filter if they jump in there.

Yeah, i found one oy my danios INSIDE the top of the filter, it must have jumped on top then just made it through the hole yo use to open it, lucky fishy..
